Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture
£50 (initial treatment including full consultation please allow up to 1.5 hours)
£45 (subsequent treatments 45 mins)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture has been practiced for many centuries. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific acupuncture points on the body stimulating channels or meridians where Qi flows. TCM determines and treats the root cause of disease and illness rather than just the symptoms; it takes a different approach to Western medicine and is often used complementary to the Western model of medicine.
TCM observes Nature and does not view humans as being separate from Nature. If there is pain or disharmony in the body there will be some form of stagnation. By removing or releasing the stagnation Qi and Blood can flow more freely, bringing balance and harmony to the internal landscape. Before the initial acupuncture treatment an in depth consultation is carried out to make a TCM diagnosis which involves looking at the tongue, feeling the pulses and observing a persons individual constitution as well as discussing individual lifestyle factors.
A course of Acupuncture sessions is usually recommended to begin with especially for chronic conditions. Acupuncture has a culminative effect and a bespoke treatment plan will be discussed at the first session. After the initial treatment lifestyle changes, informed by TCM Yangsheng (nurturing life) practices, will be recommended to help get the most benefit from each treatment. This may include dietary advice from a TCM perspective, sleep advice based on the TCM body clock and incorporating breathwork and movement practices such as Qigong.
Acupuncture can be used to treat various conditions. Chinese Medicine is holistic and takes into account diet, stress levels, how we spend our time, our emotional landscape and sleep. It is preventative holistic healthcare. Acupuncture can be helpful in supporting with both the physical and emotional aspects of peri-menopause and menopause as well as supporting with menstrual issues, fertility, acute and chronic injuries, pain management, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression and also sleep issues. During an acupuncture treatment other forms of TCM may be incorporated such as Moxibustion.
Traditional Fire Cupping £35 (45 mins)
Traditional Fire Cupping has been used in many ancient cultures including Traditional Chinese Medicine. Cupping is an ancient practice where a cup is applied to the skin and pressure in the cup is reduced using heat to create a vacuum. The superficial muscle layer is drawn up into the cup and pulls out toxin build to the surface of the skin. It works manually to remove stagnation, increase Blood and the smooth flow of Qi. The marks left after cupping are not bruises and the body will naturally clear them within 5-7 days depending on individual constitution and severity of toxins within the body. Cupping reaches into joint and muscle where manual massage therapy cant making it an incredibly powerful therapy and medicine. The back can also store a lot of emotional energy so this treatment is also excellent for helping to release stuck and heavy emotional energy within the body. Traditional Fire Cupping is often used in conjunction with other aspects of TCM treatments such as Acupuncture.
I offer a combination treatment of TCM Acupuncture and Traditional Fire Cupping for £70 for existing acupuncture clients (clients who have already had a consultation with me and treatments within 3 months) and £75 for new clients who have not had acupuncture with me before.
Body Gua Sha (45 mins £35)
Gua Sha is a healing technique in East Asian Medicine. It involves using an instrument, often a spoon, Jade stone or small tea cup, to scrape along an area on the body. This creates small red dots or ‘petechiae’ that fade leaving a deep red blush to the skin. In Western medicine terms Gua Sha leads to the extravasation of Blood from the peripheral capillaries and forces Blood containing toxins out of the permeable capillaries working to increase and improve local microcirculation. It is traditionally used to treat fever, colds, fatigue, asthma, relieve muscle and tendon injuries, headaches, digestive disorders and pain, stiffness and immobility.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective Gua Sha works to remove blocked Qi therefore removing pain and stagnation. It mimics sweating by moving fluids outwards, helping to release Heat and increase the fluids supplying oxygen and nutrients to the effected area. By removing stagnant Qi and Blood immediate relief from pain, discomfort, aches and stiffness is experienced. It can be used on conjunction with Traditional Fire Cupping and Acupuncture. Gua Sha is not painful and the marks fade within a few days.

Reflexology
Foot Reflexology £42 (45 mins)
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary therapy based on the theory that the different organs and systems within the body correspond to reflex points on the feet, lower legs, hands, face and ears. By working at the periphery Reflexology aims to promote an inner response. Reflexology can help promote relaxation, support wellbeing, reduce tension, dis-ease and improve sleep. As a professional Reflexologist I do not diagnose or cure. I work with individuals holistically and many people receive Reflexology complementary to other allopathic medicines and treatments. If you would like a full Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis and treatment plan TCM Acupuncture would be recommended.
Auricular acupuncture can be included in the Foot Reflexology treatment for £50. This can be especially helpful and potent for supporting with hormonal issues, fertility, pain management and emotional issues.
More information about Reflexology can be found here.
Foot Bath £10
Bathing the feet in warm water is a sacred act in many different cultures and spiritual practices. Soaking the feet is thought to stimulate circulation and the flow of energy in the body, helping to build Kidney energy and vitality. Like the roots of a tree, our feet ground us connecting us to Mother earth. A beautiful gift for yourself ahead of your Reflexology session. Your foot bath will contain natural ingredients such as salts, fruits, herbs and dried flowers made bespoke for your needs.
Please discuss any allergies with Omie during your initial consultation.
Facial Reflexology £42 (45 mins)
As within so without – facial reflexology aims to put energy back into circulation restoring balance to the entire body. In these sessions I draw upon my knowledge of working with microsystems (smaller systems on the body that mirror the whole body) to provide a holistic treatment that is incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. If you have experienced foot reflexology but not tried facial reflexology before you are in for a treat.
“Omie is amazing! She is so lovely and welcoming. She has a calming nature and does everything she can to make you feel as relaxed as possible during each treatment. I have visited Omie twice for reflexology and have been amazed at how accurate and detailed her findings have been. Omie takes time with each treatment and when discussing the results with you. She is happy to answer any questions and discuss anything further. Her advice is kind and encouraging. Would recommend Omie and reflexology to anyone”

Holistic & Energy Treatments
Reiki £35 (60 mins)
Reiki is beautiful invitation to journey within. Reiki can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and is also used to describe a system of natural healing. Taught from a traditional Japanese perspective; the teachings of Reiki are something I hold very dearly. Energy maintains all living things and when it flows freely, we experience a sense of wellbeing. The relaxing nature of Reiki may be supportive during difficult times, stressful periods and when we feel overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves.
